Peter Attia steps down as CBS News contributor

Dr. Peter Attia has stepped down from his CBS News contributor relation weeks aft crude emails helium exchanged with Jeffrey Epstein were made public.

In a statement, his spokesperson said that his relation astatine CBS News "was recently established and had not yet meaningfully begun" and that "he stepped backmost to guarantee his engagement didn't go a distraction from the important enactment being done astatine CBS." Attia, a doc and writer known for his probe connected longevity, was 1 of 19 contributors that CBS News announced connected Jan. 27. Days later, the Department of Justice released its latest batch of files related to the Epstein case, with Attia's sanction appearing hundreds of times.

Shortly thereafter, Attia apologized connected societal media for the "embarrassing, tasteless, and indefensible" emails helium exchanged with the precocious enactment offender. He denied immoderate engagement successful transgression activity, said helium ne'er flew connected Epstein's plane, ne'er visited his land and ne'er attended "any enactment parties."

He has not been accused of transgression wrongdoing.
