Fentanyl found inside Barbies sold at Missouri discount store, police say

Fentanyl was recovered wrong Barbie doll packages being sold astatine a discount store successful Missouri, constabulary said connected Saturday.

The Independence Police Department said successful a social media post that they were contacted by information astatine Cargo Largo, a section discount store, aft uncovering a suspicious pulverization substance successful the packaging of a Barbie doll.

Tests determined the substance was fentanyl.

Police officers worked with Cargo Largo and determined that 5 contaminated Barbie packages had been sold. Hours later, each 5 packages had been recovered, constabulary said.

"There is nary crushed to judge compromised units were sent to different retailers and nary injuries person been reported," constabulary said, adding the probe is ongoing.
