Coast Guard searches for 77-year-old woman who went overboard from cruise ship

The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for a 77-year-old pistillate who went overboard from a Holland America Line cruise ship.

The pistillate was a rider connected the Nieuw Statendam ship, which was astir 40 miles northeast of Sabana, Cuba, erstwhile she went overboard connected Thursday, the Coast Guard said.

The Coast Guard has deployed Cutter William Trump and an MH-60 chopper to assistance with the search.

The vessel departed from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, connected Saturday and was connected a seven-day travel done the eastbound Caribbean, according to Holland America Line. 

"The captain and unit initiated hunt and rescue procedures and are searching the country moving intimately with the U.S. Coast Guard," the cruise enactment said successful a statement.
